  • Currently leading a dispute resolution team, managing high-value commercial disputes.
  • Notable cases includes:

  1. advising on a dispute between two Middle Eastern entities, where the arbitration agreement contained an ICC arbitration clause.
  2. acting for several Middle Eastern investors in misrepresentation, unfair prejudice, deceit and civil fraud matters.

  • In a virtually autonomous role, Ramona managed all facets of commercial acquisitions, property matters, and litigation, and assisted in employment and family matters, ensuring client satisfaction through clear communication and effective service.
  • Responsibilities included drafting and reviewing commercial leases, contracts of sale, and rent deposit deeds, as well as handling pre-contract enquiries, searches, and post-completion matters. Ramona also prepared bundle, drafted witness statements and assisted in drafting pleadings.

Trainee Solicitor, Holdforth & Co, Greater London, (July 2020- January 2022)

  • ​As a Trainee Solicitor, Ramona further honed her legal expertise across contentious and non-contentious areas, including commercial property, civil dispute resolution, and commercial acquisitions. 
  • Ramona also enhanced her negotiation and settlement skills, actively participating in commercial and property contractual discussions to secure favourable outcomes for clients. 
  • Notable cases include acting for the seller in the sale of a care home in Wales, representing the employer, a nursery, in an unfair dismissal claim, successfully represented a client in an application to stay a writ of possession.

Leasing specialist, Westway Trust, London (January 2018- July 2019)

  • ​Managed the legal aspects pretraining to the property portfolio, while streamlining documentation processes, drafted and negotiated property-related documents.
  • Drafted events agreements and licenses for major events such as Notting Hill Carnival and Portobello Road Market, ensuring clarity and compliance.

Legal Assistant, Trivelles International, London (May 2016- May 2017, fixed term contract)

  • Ramona played a key role in managing legal matters related to commercial property and investment projects.  
  • Negotiated and drafted sale and purchase agreements, leases, and rent deposit deeds for Trivelles’ portfolio, which included student accommodations, hotels, resorts, and other investment properties across the UK and assisted with construction contracts. 
  • Liaised with international investors from regions such as Hong Kong, China, Macao, UAE, and Qatar, ensuring seamless communication and compliance with local requirements. 
  • In addition to her property-related work, Ramona prepared commercial and employment agreements, including sale and marketing agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and confidentiality agreements for Trivelles’ partnerships in East Asia and the Middle East.
  • Supported litigation work, from compliance with the pre-action protocol, involvement in mediation and negotiations, to drafting Particulars of Claim, defences and witness statements, preparing cost budgets, agreeing directions, trial preparation, court attendance, supporting business’ interests.

Legal Intern, TransferWise (now Wise), London (April - July 2015)

  • Conducted legal research and analysis for cross-border financial transactions, advising the business on expanding operations to Turkey, Georgia, and Brazil. Drafted and filed corporate documents. 
  • Supported US and UK Compliance Officers anti-money laundering tasks and KYC due diligence, ensuring regulatory compliance with the FCA regulations and applicable laws for fintech businesses and aided in the preparation of AML policies.
  • Supported legal teams by drafting sets of terms and conditions for the website, compliant with the regulations of each US state and European Country. Prepared standard NDAs and Marketing Agreements.

Intern, Government of Romania, Bucharest (July - September 2013)

  • Ramona was assigned to the Cabinet of the Prime Minister’s Personal Advisor on Social Matters.  
  • Her work during the internship included:

  1. Legislative Proposal Development: She authored a legislative proposal aimed at improving emergency service contact for individuals with disabilities and successfully lobbied for its implementation. ​
  2. Legal Research & Drafting: She analysed disability legislation in Romania and the EU, drafted legal reports, and provided recommendations for legislative reform. ​
  3. Inclusion Initiatives: Assisted the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Labour with initiatives focused on inclusion. ​
